Meet the people behind Move & Connect

Waymaker Pathways provides person-centred disability support focused on genuine relationships, community participation, independence and individual goals.

We created Move & Connect to give people a welcoming place to move, build confidence and connect without judgement or pressure.

Joey Surace, Co-Founder of Waymaker Pathways

Joey Surace

Co-Founder, Waymaker Pathways & Session Facilitator

First Aid, CPR & infection control certified, with hands-on experience supporting participants with complex, multiple and psychosocial support needs.

Before co-founding Waymaker Pathways, Joey worked as a youth officer in juvenile detention and as a teacher's aide supporting students with complex needs — experience that shaped his belief that real support starts with genuine relationships, not paperwork. He created Move & Connect because he wanted a space where participants could show up exactly as they are, move at their own pace, and be seen as people first.

Waymaker Pathways is an independent disability support provider supporting self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants.
