Waymaker Pathways was founded by two Western Sydney locals who know that real change happens through real relationships — not just services.
🤝 We didn't start Waymaker to run a business. We started it because we saw how many young people were falling through the cracks — and we knew we could do something about it.
Your participant's biggest advocate in the room
Joe is the driving force behind Waymaker's participant-first philosophy. With a background in youth mentoring — including weekly one-on-one sessions with young people in challenging environments — Joe has spent years building the skills to meet people exactly where they are.
Growing up in Western Sydney gave Joe a deep understanding of the community Waymaker serves. He knows that trust isn't handed over — it's built slowly, consistently, and through showing up. That's the standard he holds Waymaker to, every single day.
"The best thing you can do for someone is make them feel like they matter. That's not a program — that's a person who shows up."
The steady hand that keeps everything moving
Leo brings calm, structure, and genuine warmth to everything Waymaker does. His commitment to consistency — the kind that actually changes lives — is what sets him apart. He believes that the most important thing a support worker can offer is reliability: being there when you said you would, every time.
Leo is passionate about building a team that reflects the values Waymaker was founded on. For him, it's simple: treat every participant the way you'd want someone to treat your own family member.
"Good support isn't complicated. Show up, be consistent, and actually care about the person in front of you."
The values that guide every decision we make at Waymaker
We earn trust through consistency, not promises. It's built one interaction at a time.
Every participant is a full human being with goals, identity, and potential — not a diagnosis.
We're in the business of building independence, not dependence. Progress is always the goal.
Western Sydney is home. We understand this community because we're part of it.
Whether you're a participant, a family carer, a support coordinator, or someone who wants to join the Waymaker team — we'd love to hear from you.
