Written by people who do this every week, not just write about it
I’m Joe. I’ve worked in juvenile detention, as a teacher’s aide and as a mentor. I saw so much potential in the young people I worked with, but they didn’t have someone to guide them to it.
Waymaker Pathways helps young people in Western Sydney practise real-life skills, in real places, every week. These guides are what we teach families. I’ll teach you everything for free. If you’d like someone to do it with them, that’s what we do.

Good to know
Questions parents ask.
Is it really free?
Yes. Every guide and printable is free. You don't need to be a Waymaker client, now or ever.
Will someone call me?
No. We only call if you ask us to. We'll email you new guides now and then, and you can unsubscribe any time.
Do I need an NDIS plan?
No. The guides help any parent or carer, whether or not your young adult has an NDIS plan.
I'm busy. How long will this take?
Most guides take 3 to 6 minutes to read. The Handover Map takes about 15 minutes and a pen. Start with one.
Can I read them on my phone?
Yes. The guides open on your phone, and the printables save as PDFs you can print at home.
What if my young adult needs more support than a guide can give?
That's okay. The guides are a starting point, not a replacement for professional advice. If you'd like help putting them into practice, you can call or text us on 0420 567 794.
I signed up on another device. Why are the guides locked?
Your access is saved in the browser you signed up on. On a new phone or computer, just enter your name and email again.
You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need the next step.
